We performed a show at a house party ontop of the Topanga Hills! What a great time! Cars were lined up for blocks winding up to this house. Food was available, hundreds of people there for the love of the music and sharing a such a fun atmosphere. The musicians were incredible, and when it was our turn to go up, we too got the whole place on their feet and dancing. Something about seeing people dance really moves me. May this be a continuing trend! It reminded me of high school parties and college parties. Felt good that night. Reminds me why I do what I do. Yes!

Oceanside was quite a surprise to me. The people reminded me of back home in Kansas. Everyone took the time to look up and say hello! Sounds like such a little thing- but it makes a difference. With that being said though, here's a funny story. As I was performing I saw security seperate a man who was obviously drunk and harrassing another man who was twice his size (not to mention that he himself was 2 of me put together!). Didn't think much of it, but the next thing I knew, he approached me with a bottle of rum and persisted that I need to drink out of the bottle. Those of you who don't know, I'm cooling off on drinking. I politely refused, but he insisted. This went on until he began to threaten me. All this while I was still playing guitar. Being as stubborn as I am, I continued to refus, but instead of beating me to a pulp, thank you god, he began to rap obscenities into the mic. At this point his friend pulled him away to the table where my CDs were located. He proceeded to take CDs from the stand, until policemen intervened. Next thing I knew he was being hauled off in a police car. Poor guy, hope he woke up alright the next day. On lighter news, There was a man dressed up in a whale mascot-costume. Much like the costumes at Disney land. He'd jump into plain view randomly and start dancing to my music. It was so funny I forgot how my songs went. At the end of the night, this random smiling man came up to me and said, "too bad you forgot your lyrics". I looked at him blankly. He continued, "I'm the whale." Just one of the many nice/colorful people I met. I go back to Oceanside in May, and I'm looking forward to what other wonderful things are in store!

The Studio Suite was a ROCKIN last Friday! Thanks to everyone who came out and supported our first "electric" rock show! The place loved us and we plan on going back. In other news, two of my bandmates will be performing two of their tunes at the next Room 5 show! Beautiful songs- you won't be disappointed!
